Real Madrid are ready to break the bank next summer and their targets are some of the best players in Europe right now. Los Blancos have a list of big figures as they look to make an epic transfer splurge.
A stunning report from Don Balon has seen the light, claiming Madrid president Florentino Perez could be prepared to disburse as much as €600 million on some of the world’s biggest names in different positions.
In defense, they’re reportedly looking at Liverpool center-back Virgil van Dijk as one of their options. Along with the Dutch defender, Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly appears to be a good candidate to become the new leader of their defense. The club would be ready to spend around €100m on strengthening that area of the pitch, as per DB.
In midfield, they could finally put their hands on two of their biggest targets in recent times, Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
Upfront, they have more options to pick, as Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are part of their plans, as well as Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jadon Sancho.
All these moves, according to Don Balon, would cost Madrid as much as €600m. However, none Premier League side involved in these rumors would want to see their stars leaving, especially to Real Madrid. For instance, Liverpool have lost big names like Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez, and Raheem Sterling to wealthier clubs in recent times.
Things are different with Manchester United, who are said to be ready for life after Paul Pogba.
However, seeing Chelsea letting Kante go doesn’t sound that likely given his importance at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have already lost big players to Madrid, with Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois finding their ways to Madrid in recent seasons.
