Real Madrid are back at it to sign Paul Pogba and this time Los Blancos are reportedly ready to offer not one but two players to persuade Manchester United to part with the French midfielder.
They are set to launch a huge bid for the Manchester United star in the January transfer window, and the Spanish giants could offer two players as makeweights in the potential deal. Pogba was linked with a move to Madrid last summer, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reluctant to let him go, and Los Blancos’ interest faded.
Now, however, they look ready to give it another shot, and El Desmarque reports that Madrid will return for Pogba in January, and may offer Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez as part of the deal.
It’s not a secret that Bale and Rodriguez aren’t seen as the most important figures at the Santiago Bernabeu, despite featuring regularly for Zidane's team throughout the season.
Zizou is willing to let the two players go if that means he can finally get Paul Pogba. Besides, United had previously shown interest in the duo, so this move could suit both parties.
Pogba has only played in five Premier League matches for the Red Devils this season, and he is currently inactive due to an ankle injury. Last season he improved his level, scoring 13 goals in 35 matches with United, which prompted teams like Madrid or Juventus to show their interest in him.
Solskjaer's side has struggled in his absence this year, but things are looking better now for them after a series of good results, including a great win over Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Perhaps seeing how good things can be without Pogba, Manchester officials won’t think that much to ship the player to Madrid.
