Liverpool’s wing-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is closing the year and the decade in a great way. The defender has become one of the best players in his position right now, and that’s not a surprise seeing all the good things he displayed this year.

He starred one of the most memorable moments of the year and he decided to remember the event to commemorate the end of the decade, taking a dig at La Liga side Barcelona.

He took to Twitter to post an image of himself in the Liverpool youth team next to a snap of his iconic moment for the Reds in last season’s Champions League semi-final.

This game is well remembered because Alexander-Arnold famously tricked entire Barcelona’s team taking a corner earlier than expected to set up Divock Origi’s dramatic goal that sent Liverpool to the Champions League final.

This guy has become one of the best full-backs on earth with the Merseysiders, becoming a key part of their electrifying attack. The most impressive thing is his youth and maturity on the pitch. Perhaps we won’t be surprised to see him picked as the best full-back once the upcoming new decade comes to an end.
