Neymar isn't exactly Paris' most beloved man right now, as the troublemaker became the team's most hated man ever after trying to force his way out of Parc des Princes for most of the summer.

PSG supporters have let everybody know about their despise for the Brazilian, booing him, insulting him, and turning their back on him for all of the controversies surrounding his desire to leave.

However, Marco Verratti is actually grateful for the fact that he didn't leave the club this summer, claiming he'll only make their team better despite what their fans may think:

“I think, and I'm not afraid to say it, we're stronger,” he said. “We brought in the players we needed. We have a very good team. That does not mean that we will win the Champions League, but we want to do better than in the past. We are not going to say that we will win the Champions League when it hasn’t even started, but we want to go as far as possible. I think the club worked well and had a very good transfer window. Neymar is perhaps the most important player we recruited," he said ahead of PSG's clash vs. Real Madrid, as reported by L'Equipe.

Moreover, Verratti admitted that they need players like Neymar if they want to compete in the UEFA Champions League, and had the Brazilian's back by claiming he's sure that he'll give his best effort for the French champions:

“We need players like Neymar or Kylian who are a bit above everyone else,” he added. “Neymar had a difficult time with things outside of soccer that have somewhat destabilized him. But when he learned that he was staying, I saw him with a smile as always. He loves football, he is a player who will help us a lot. We are lucky to have him in Paris, we must enjoy him. I know that the fans have not forgotten, but I hope that Neymar will do everything [to make amends] and we will celebrate all this together at the end of the season. In football, there are always some nice moments and I hope that it will end well. Neymar will give 110 percent," he concluded.

Neymar won't be able to make his debut vs. Real Madrid due to a suspension, but his talents will be needed if the French side intends to make a deep run in this year's continental tournament and finally take the trophy home. So, for now, PSG fans have no choice but to support Neymar and hope he stays focused on winning.
