Ansu Fati just made history with Barcelona with a superb goal against Inter in the last matchday of the Champions League group stage. With his goal, Fati broke Inter hearts as it effectively resulted in the Italian giants crashing out of the Champions League, with Borussia Dortmund qualifying to the last-16.

In the final round of group fixtures to determine whether it would be them or Dortmund who would join the Catalan giants in the last 16 of the competition, things were complicated for the Nerazzurri.

At the end of the day, Dortmund did their job with a win over Slavia Prague, but the Italian couldn’t manage to beat the La Liga champions who signed off on the group stage in style with another win.

Carles Perez gave Barca the lead at the San Siro only for Romelu Lukaku to find a crucial equalizer just before half-time to set up an interesting second half.

The second-half was all Inter, who pressured Barca and actually scored two goals ruled out for offside for Lautaro Martinez. They were unable to break the tie and Barcelona made them pay for that later in the game.

Fati struck in the latter stages of the clash to restore Barcelona’s lead and he did so with a brilliant strike from distance which curled into the bottom corner to beat Samir Handanovic.

With the goal, he became the youngest player to ever score a goal in the Champions League, as he continues to enjoy a memorable breakthrough campaign.

Barcelona is headed to the round of 16 with Dortmund, while Inter and Antonio Conte’s stay at Europe’s top table is over for this season.
