Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t having it last night when his Juventus lost the Italian Super Cup against Lazio.
Maurizio Sarri's side was beaten 3-1 by Simone Inzaghi's side at the King Saud University Stadium, in a game that was decided with second-half goals from Senad Lulic and Danilo Cataldi in the last seconds of the match to get the win.
When Juve players were receiving their silver medals, Cristiano Ronaldo demonstrated he’s not used to losing finals, immediately removing the medal. If that wasn’t enough, he even ditched the second official who offered his hand out. He was not happy at all.
This isn’t normal for Cristiano, who hadn’t lost a final since 2013. Over that period, he went to 14 straight finals without defeat for Real Madrid, Portugal, and Juventus in various competitions. Therefore, it's understandable that he wasn't thrilled to be given a runner-up medal.
The current season hasn’t been the best for CR7, who’s been involved in several rumors suggesting his relationship with Sarri isn’t the best, while others even state he’ll leave Juve at the end of this season. So far he’s scored 12 goals in 21 games this term for the Old Lady.
