Gary Neville was anything but happy when Anthony Martial missed a big opportunity to tie the game between his Manchester United and Liverpool. The French striker was pretty close to score, but he blazed the ball over the bar, wasting a terrific chance for the Red Devils.
Neville was commentating on the game for Sky Sports and cameras captured his priceless reaction. He was visibly frustrated and fans on Twitter related at a high level with the former defender.
Liverpool left Anfield 2-0 winners in the end and have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 16 points.
The Reds took the lead in the 14th minute thanks to a Virgil van Dijk header as the Dutchman rose above the United defense. They scored two more goals in the first half via Roberto Firmino and Gini Wijnaldum but both goals were ruled out.
In the second half, United tried to tie the game, but their attempts were deedless.
Mohamed Salah put the definite score on the board after Alisson punted the ball upfield for the Egyptian, who ran into the United box and tap past David De Gea.
No matter who are their rivals or where they are playing. It looks like Liverpool’s first Premier League title is a matter of when instead of ‘if’.
