Zinedine Zidane isn’t holding anything back recently, as the French boss has made bold claims that have pissed off plenty of people. Zizou recently said some things that upset Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo.
The Frenchman stated Kylian Mbappe desired to play with Real Madrid, as to what Leonardo replied by saying he was annoyed by the comments, trying to protect Mbappe at all cost.
"This is not the time to talk about this. He still has two-and-a-half years of contract with us. It's time to stop all this.
"He is very important for us. He is the best young player that France has. He is world champion and even the best player in the world. This is not the time to destabilize or touch him,” the Brazilian said.
Now, Zizou has replied by saying he can say what he wants and there is nobody who can stop him.
“I’ve said nothing, just what the player said, that his dream was one day to play here,” the Frenchman told a press conference.
“Everyone does what they want. I’ll not say anything else. I simply said what the player said one day, that his dream would be to wear the Real Madrid jersey.
"I say it again and I would say it every day. I have nothing more to say about Leonardo, I can say whatever I want.”
This is set to be one of the biggest stories of the summer of 2020 with the boss and the director have already engaged in a verbal war that could damage Madrid’s plans to land the World Cup winner.
