Real Madrid keep getting linked with players this summer, although they have already signed five players, spending a lot of money. Nevertheless, it looks like Zinedine Zidane wants the club to make another signing before the transfer window closes on September 2.
The French boss has reportedly identified West Ham United ace Felipe Anderson as a possible target before the transfer deadline. The La Liga giants have made some big signings this summer, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, and Ferland Mendy all joining the club.
Nevertheless, they still have time to land players and make changes on their roster until September, and it’s been suggested Zidane has his sights set on this talented attacking midfielder. According to Don Balon, Zizou wants Real Madrid to move for Anderson, with ongoing doubts over their ability to sign either Paul Pogba or Neymar this summer.
Moreover, the former Lazio player could leave East London for around €45 million, and although he looks like the easiest of the three targets to land, it’s unclear whether West Ham have any intention of listening to offers for the Brazilian forward.
Since moving from Lazio to London last year, Anderson has shown his quality on a weekly basis, bagging 10 goals and five assists in 41 appearances for West Ham. However, not everybody is sold on the idea of seeing him in the Santiago Bernabeu, as this is arguably the biggest club in the world, and the pressure will be a lot bigger than in West Ham.
Yet, it’s not the first time that he’s been linked with a move to the Spanish capital, with Sky Sports noting back in March that Real Madrid were considering Anderson should they were unable to sign Hazard.
In the end, the Belgian forward ended up landing in Madrid, but it looks like Los Blancos aren’t finished with Anderson and will try to sign him this summer.
