NBA Rumors: Miami Heat Are “The Perfect Landing Spot” For Bradley Beal

2 Min Read

Fresh off a trip to the Finals, the Miami Heat had high aspirations entering the 2021 season.

Through 18 games, however, the Heat haven’t been able to live up to the hype. Between Jimmy Butler’s absence and an Eastern Conference that has gotten unbelievably stronger, many are doubting that they’ll even make the playoffs.

So, with trade rumors booming, the Heat are one team expected to be buying in an effort to salvage the current campaign. Amongst a sea of potential names, there aren’t many who make more sense as a trade target than Washington’s Bradley Beal, who is widely regarded as one of the best scorers in the game.

In a recent article, Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report described Miami as the “perfect landing spot” for the 2x All-Star.

Miami’s offense ranks just 27th. The NBA’s leading scorer could certainly help with that.

Bradley Beal is averaging a whopping 35.4 points per game for the 3-11 Washington Wizards. Someone needs to save the 27-year-old, and Miami’s the perfect landing spot.

While trading for Beal would mean giving up Herro and more (Duncan Robinson? Kendrick Nunn? 2025 and 2027 first-round picks?), Miami should have the assets to pull off a deal while keeping Butler and Adebayo.

Bradley Beal is having a tough go with the Wizards, and it seems the needle may finally be moving on a potential trade.

In Miami, the star guard could thrive alongside Butler and Adebayo, and in a system that emphasizes true team basketball. His shooting and scoring ability would be a welcome addition for a team that often struggles to put the ball in the hole.

The question is, will Pat Riley’s team be willing to pay the price to get him? They’ve shown reluctance to meet the Wizards’demands in the past, but their current situation might just be enough to change things.

Only time will tell.
