NBA Rumors: The Clippers, Sixers And Heat Interested In Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry’s incredible tenure with the Toronto Raptors could be nearing its end with the point guard getting traded one season after he signed his extension with the squad. The 2019 NBA champion has been nothing but great for the Canadian team but all things come to an end, even the great ones.

A trade could happen shortly and Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer has identified three franchises that would welcome Lowry with open arms. The Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat are reportedly the front-runners to get his services.

The Sixers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Clippers could be potential trade destinations for the elite point guard, according to league sources.

The same can be said about the Miami Heat. The best spot for the Philly native and Toronto Raptors point guard, however, is the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to sources, those three teams could become potential trade destinations for the former Cardinal Dougherty High School and Villanova standout. That is, of course, if Lowry opts to not finish the season with the Raptors.

A source said Lowry would like to be in Philly. The source believes the Sixers and Raptors might be able to get something done. But if it comes to that, Toronto would most likely want some picks, young players, and veterans with expiring contracts for Lowry, who’s making $30 million this season.

But it’s still early, as the trade deadline isn’t until March 25.

There are a lot of possibilities for the Raptors and Lowry. They need to get the most of the player while he’s still available. Being the great player he is, it’s not a surprise that contender teams are keeping tabs on his current situation and time will tell how this situation will end.
