Paul Pierce Names LeBron James 3rd On His MVP List

People talked a lot about James Harden’s desire to leave the Houston Rockets. They called him out for not showing up to training camp and arriving overweight to their facility, but no one seems to be talking about how good he’s been since joining the Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets are 14-6 since trading for James Harden. Moreover, they’ve played multiple games without either Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant, yet they’re still steady in playoff contention.

That’s why Paul Pierce had no choice but to give Harden his flowers and recognize that he’s the best player in the world right now:

“James Harden is playing better than anyone in the league right now,” Pierce said on Twitter.

Then, he added a follow-up tweet with his very own MVP-ranking, placing his archnemesis LeBron James in the third spot:

“MVP rankings as of today 1 Harden 2 Embiid 3 Bron 4 Mitchell 5 Kawhi,” he added.

Needless to say, that placement drew him a lot of negative attention once again, as LeBron’s fans believe that he should be leading the race and that Pierce is just being petty because of their history. The Truth didn’t hesitate to fire back at them by claiming that he’s rewarding the players from teams that are actually winning right now:

“Can we reward players who’s teams are winning u guys are idiots to the victor goes the spoils,” he concluded.

While it’s clear that Pierce and LeBron have never and will never get along, he’s got a valid point this time. The Lakers have dropped 4 straight games and both Harden and Embiid have been better than LeBron this season, so fans should give him a pass on this one.
