The Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, and just like many other teams, they fell to the brilliance of Stephen Curry. While we recognize other talents like Jordan Poole and Draymond Green for their contributions in the game, Steph was the standout performer.

The Warriors won the game 105-90, with Curry registering a game-high 33 points on 7-of-13 shooting from beyond the arc. Clippers guard was asked after the game how he felt guarding Steph and he had this to say:

#Suns task 1: Stephen Curry.

"He'll give the ball up and they'll have a wide open layup and turn it down just to look for him for a 3." Eric Bledsoe.

Task 2: #Warriors defense.

“It’s tough because sometimes you think you got him covered. They’ll get ball movement for a wide-open layup and turn it down just to look for him for a three. By the time you turn your head, you think they’re gonna lay the ball up and he’s on the other side of the court shooting a three.”

“It’s tough, he draws so much attention.”

Bledsoe was brought during the 2021 offseason to boost their squad and he has done a fair job of that. In their season opener, he scored a season-high 22 points against the Warriors.

So far this season, he is averaging 9.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting 40.8% from the field. He has not been the most efficient scoring the ball, but he has been an asset defensively.

In the game against the Warriors, he lost Curry a few times which led to some made three-pointers by the league’s greatest shooter. Bledsoe finished the game with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and a block.

The two-time All-Defensive team member will likely keep his place in the starting lineup as the Clippers host the New Orleans Pelicans. While he helps out defensively, he will need to do a bit more scoring to help out Paul George, and guarantee wins for the team.
