The point guard is a crucial position in the game of basketball. Most plays run through the PG and if a team is planning to win the NBA championship, they need an excellent player in that position.

In the modern-day NBA, a few point guards are a notch above the rest. For most, the first name that would come to mind is none other than Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.

Curry has had a fruitful career in the league and has won several individual and team honors so far. And still has plenty of fuel left in his tank. As a result, Curry is regarded as one of the best players of this generation.

If he were to be compared with other great players like Derrick Rose, John Wall, Russell Westbrook, and Chris Paul in their respective primes, would the result still be the same? Well, the Instagram page Hoopers District did just that. They asked fans to pick the best player in their prime from the aforementioned names.

Fans debated which player should be given the crown of the best player in their prime. Here’s what fans thought about it:

hi11t0ppin6: “steph-russ-drose-cp3-wall.”

photos_by_burj: “1. Rose 2. Curry 3. CP3 4. Russ 5. Wall.”

colby_forgot_password: “Look at curry man so loyal.”

alquahim: “Curry still would’ve been better then a healthy drose ‍♂️.”

von.roper: “In there prime cp3 he gives u everything high IQ best passer out the group for his height gd rebounder best defender in the group and in the last 5 min in the game he best person to have the ball in there hands.”

terranpitts138: “If we talking in their prime it goes steph Westbrook cp3 drose and wall.”

peter.arthurr: “D rose .”

iamcolehosier: “Curry Westbrook rose for primes.”

acballer20: “Rose no question.”

ym_chris.itb12: “The funny thing is curry the only one who didn’t change uniform .”

lamars_lemon: “Biggest issue with this is rose never made it to his prime years but from the best we have seen it depends. I look at stuff like these in terms of matchups. Not accolades and stuff like that. Rose and Steph would be a good matchup and I don’t know how it would go.”

keithrose__: “Imagine if d Rose never got injured.”

Most fans believe that Steph is still the best player among the lot in their primes. On the other hand, many believe if Derrick Rose never got injured, might have surpassed Curry. This is quite plausible, as Rose is the youngest MVP in the league.
