The last two NBA seasons have been amazing. There have been plenty of big trades and players landing humongous contracts. The only thing missing from the NBA has been Klay Thompson.
The Golden State Warriors shooting guard is a great shooter. Above that, he is a fan favorite player. Due to two gruesome injuries, Klay has been sidelined for the last two years. But the wait is finally over, and it has been confirmed that the three-time NBA champion will return for the Warriors in the 2021-22 NBA season.
Considering the time period he has been out of action, it is quite obvious the sharpshooter might be a little rusty. Recently, Klay uploaded a bunch of stories to his Instagram, where he was seen working out and shooting the ball in the gym.
Klay demonstrated he has been working really hard to make a comeback and possibly help the Warriors reclaim the throne. He captioned the story by saying:
“I’m just happy to be making progress on the daily. Can’t wait to hoop again.”

In the last two years that Klay has missed, the Warriors organization has gone through some major changes. For starters, they lost Kevin Durant to Brooklyn Nets. Many role players have changed around the core members of the team.
At the end of the day, it might take him some time to not only get back in rhythm but to gel with his new teammates. Once that process is over, the sky is the limit for the Dubs.
Apart from Klay, they already have the best shooter in the history of the league, Stephen Curry. Couple that with the presence of Draymond Green on the floor, the Dubs are looking ready for the new season.
Lastly, they also have Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman, who will certainly play pivotal roles if the team wants to win another NBA championship.
Do you believe Klay’s return makes the Warriors an instant favorite to come out of the West? Or are they still not the best team in the conference, let alone the league? Let us know your views in the comments section.
