Cousins, 30, has struggled with a series of devastating injuries over the past few years. After making the All-Star team in 2018, he has yet to return to that level of play.
But in Houston, with the Rockets, the hope is he can provide some size, rebounding, and shot-making ability to help the team stay afloat in the Western Conference. Despite apparent trade requests from both of their stars, the team is doing whatever they can to keep hope alive.
Boogie wasn’t the biggest fish of the offseason, but his acquisition is a good sign for Houston and could mean they intend to stay competitive for years to come.
Cousins is averaging 21.2 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game on 48% shooting this season.
