LeBron James On Anthony Davis: “I’ve Had Some Great Teammates In My Career. AD Does Some Things That Some Of My Other Great Teammates Are Not Capable Of Doing.”

The L.A. Lakers looked pretty solid in their win against the Blazers today. But it wasn’t LeBron who led the team to the impressive victory, it was his “sidekick” Anthony Davis.

The 6’10 monster followed up a disappointing Game 1 with a stellar performance tonight, posting 31 points, 11 rebounds, and a block on 61% shooting in just 29 minutes.

After the game, Bron had some pretty strong words to say about his partner in crime:

“I’ve had some great teammates in my career. AD is one of those unicorns and he does some things that some of my other great teammates are not capable of doing. But in the same sense, I’ve played with Dwyane Wade and he could od some things that AD is not capable of doing.

And I also played with Kyrie Irving and he could do things that AD and Wade are not capable of doing. So, I’ve had the luxury of playing with some great players, and that’s just three of them.”

Obviously LeBron made sure to spread the love between all of his All-Star teammates, but could Davis be the best one he’s ever had?

To prove it, Davis will have to make tonight’s performance a regular for him in these playoffs. Because without a ring, there’s no way he belongs in the same sentence as Kyrie or DWade.

He seemed on a mission in Game 2, so we’ll see how he responds in Game 3.
