Patrick Beverley is going home in the first round after his Milwaukee Bucks fell to a 98-120 Game 6 loss and were eliminated from the playoffs. As the clock was winding down, Beverley decided to bizarrely fling the ball at a fan sitting near the bench for unclear reasons.

Beverley has guaranteed himself a fine for this instance as we have seen players get penalized for much less this season. Victor Wembanyama spoke out against a fine he received for throwing the ball into the stands after the game. While he thought he was helping make someone’s day, the NBA did not appreciate the gesture.

Beverley proved he can be a high-impact player for the Bucks next season based on his performances in the series against Indiana. He hasn’t spent more than half a season on a team since the Clippers traded him to the Timberwolves in 2021, so if the Bucks re-sign him for next season, it’ll show Beverley has slightly altered the direction of his career.

As a scrappy defensive guard, Beverley should only concern himself with going to good teams that can give him a chance to contend. The Bucks were supposed to be the Celtics’ biggest challenge in the East but their season has officially ended in disappointment.

Patrick Beverley Was Trash-Talking Tyrese Haliburton

One of the funniest interactions of this series came between Beverley and Tyrese Haliburton, as the guard pairing often found themselves guarding each other. Haliburton had major offensive struggles during this series, which led to Beverley calling him out directly and praising his own defense on Hali

“Nothing. Check the numbers, think he’s shooting 19% from the three. If I gave you the ball for 41 minutes, you would have 10 assists also.”

The comment about giving someone the ball for 41 minutes was prophetic as Beverley would be the Bucks’ primary ball-handler in Game 5 and dropped 12 assists.

Haliburton put up an inefficient 17 points in the series-clinching Game 6 win, whereas Beverley has six points and five assists after playing nearly 40 minutes during the game. Beverley averaged 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists over the series, compared to Haliburtons’ 16.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 9.3 assists.

The Pacers are awaiting the winner of the Knicks vs. 76ers series which is having its Game 6 be contested right now. If the 76ers manage to make a comeback in the series, they’ll overturn a 3-1 deficit to advance and face the Pacers next round. But the Knicks currently enjoy a lead in Game 6 and can end the series tonight.
