King guard De’Aaron Fox couldn’t have picked a better way to start the season after signing an exclusive new endorsement deal with Under Armour. The young star, who has become the face of the Kings franchise, will reportedly become the first NBA athlete in history to sign with Curry Brand, which officially launched back in 2020.

“Sacramento Kings All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox is finalizing an endorsement deal with Curry Brand, becoming the first NBA player to sign with Stephen Curry’s signature line at Under Armour,” wrote Shams.

Under Armour has been making strides in the basketball scene since acquiring Steph years ago, and now it seems they are setting up the next stage of success by securing one of the league’s youngest guards to an exclusive deal. The exact numbers of the contract are still a mystery for now, but there’s no doubt that both Fox and Curry (and of course the Nike brand itself) will make some serious money from this venture.

“Stephen Curry launched his signature, standalone venture with Under Armour in 2020,” wrote Shams. “And now Curry Brand lands one of the league’s top point guards in De’Aaron Fox as its first endorsement contract signing.”

Stephen Curry’s Empire With Under Armour

For an underdog like Steph Curry, nobody thought that he’d end up being one of the greatest point guards in NBA history. And yet, years later, that’s exactly what he is as a 9x All-Star, 4x champion, and 2x MVP. His mastery of the three-pointer changed the game forever, and his success over the past 10 years in the league will never go untold in the basketball history books. The true test of a star, however, is not the impact you make on the floor, but the impact you have in everyday life.

Curry, of course, isn’t just a winner, he’s a natural-born leader who has helped inspire an entire generation of athletes to pursue their dreams. Now as the NBA’s ambassador for Under Armour, Curry is starting to challenge the status quo by introducing an alternative to the Nike umbrella. De’Aaron Fox could be one of several stars to join Curry Brand and establish Under Armour as the ultimate rising power in the industry.

De’Aaron Fox Aims To Keep His Momentum

There may be no player more worthy of a Curry Brand contract than De’Aaron Fox. The Kings star was drafted 5th overall in 2017 and has been taking steps toward stardom ever since. Last season was, arguably, the best of his career, with averages of 25 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game on 51% shooting. The best part of all is the breakout performance from the team, who finished third in the crowded Western Conference.

Coming into this campaign, Fox is hopeful for an even better run, but it’s going to take his best season yet for the Kings to get close. Thankfully, at just 25 years old, there is still hope that De’Aaron can build upon his All-Star season a year ago. Either way, he’s off to a pretty good start with Steph Curry’s endorsement to enter the brand-new season. Let’s just hope he’s able to live up to Curry’s standards…
