With the 2022-23 NBA season over, the league is heading into the offseason. Just like every summer, this offseason is also full of a plethora of rumors.
NBA analysts and insiders have a tendency to keep their sources in the league anonymous. Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum is apparently unhappy with that and recently called them out via Twitter.
“Anybody else tired of seeing ‘per source’ after every quote? Put a name on it or keep that s**t to yourself, lol,” Tatum tweeted.

The tweet could have come in light of the Boston Celtics’ recent trade with the Washington Wizards to acquire Kristaps Porzingis.
The C’s completed a three-team trade that helped in acquiring the 27-year-old and two first-round draft picks while sending Marcus Smart to Memphis Grizzlies. But before that, a potential trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers collapsed.
Tatum could be referring to that or expressing his problem with source-based journalism in general. There’s no way for us to confirm.
The Celtics Are The Favorites To Win The 2024 NBA Championship
The Boston Celtics have formed a new Big 3 of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kristaps Porzingis. The trio is expected to take the Celtics to new heights in the upcoming season.
So much so that the 17-time NBA champions are now regarded as the team to beat in the Eastern Conference. Over the last seven seasons, the Celtics have reached the NBA Finals once and made four trips to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Unfortunately, they have been unable to get their hands on the prosperous Larry O’Brien trophy. Porzingis’ addition to the team should help them get over the final hump.
The 27-year-old averaged 23.2 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 2.7 APG in the 2022-23 NBA season. The Celtics will hope for him to average similar numbers next season.
