Mat Ishbia went straight to business after finalizing his purchase of the Phoenix Suns. and now, after watching his team flounder in the Western Conference playoffs, he’s taking some drastic measures to ensure a quality return on his investment.

Heading into the summer, the Suns have a clean slate to work with but their options are limited with Durant, Booker, Ayton, and Chris Paul still on the books for millions. Fortunately for the Suns, Bradley Beal could be available if they are willing to pay the price. In a tweet, Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes revealed what a reasonable offer could look like.

“Phoenix can offer a trade package of Deandre Ayton and Landry Shamet to Washington for Bradley Beal, but it’s believed a Chris Paul, Shamet deal is what it would take if Beal chose to force his way to the Suns via his no-trade clause, league sources tell @NBAonTNT @BleacherReport.”

Beal currently has a no-trade clause on his contract, so he has direct control over where he goes. Naturally, he’d prefer to stick around in D.C. but he has also made it known that he wouldn’t mind a trade to Miami or New York.

“Bradley Beal has had an eye on the Miami Heat for years,” wrote The Athletic’s Fred Katz. “The three-time All-Star has mulled over his future time and time again over the past few summers, even if his decision has always been to return to the Washington Wizards, the only organization he’s played for during his 11 NBA seasons.”

The Suns Are Facing Pressure To Win With Kevin Durant

Whether or not the Suns are able to close this deal, they can not afford to mess around over these next few months. After trading the world for Kevin Durant, the team is in total win-now mode and they must do whatever it takes to build a contending roster around their stars.

Beal, who averaged 23.2 points per game last season, has the talent to make the Suns a dynasty in the East. Together, with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, the Heat can finally make amends for their failed Finals runs.
