Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers have yet to split up despite years of disappointing playoff runs. Time after time, Lillard has placed his trust in the Blazers to do him right and build a team around him that stands a chance against the best.

More often than not, the Blazers have failed to give Lillard enough and most experts agree that he might be better off somewhere else. Dame himself has so far denied any intentions to leave, but recent rumors suggest that feelings could change if Portland decides to keep their pick and draft either Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller.

“There is legitimate concern percolating… that Lillard would finally start pushing the Blazers to trade him if Portland ends up drafting Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller.”

At 32 years old, Damian Lillard doesn’t have much time left to win a ring before it’s all said and done. But last season was his best yet with a scoring average of 32.2 points per game on 46% shooting. He was spectacular for months and even made the All-NBA third team for his efforts.

Yet, despite his great play, the Blazers were pretty bad for most of the season thanks to injuries and inconsistent play from Jusuf Nurkic, Anfernee Simons, and others.

The question is if Dame does decide to force his hand, which team will he end up on by next season?

Damian Lillard Could Join The Miami Heat

One team that is seemingly always in the mix for stars is the Heat, and it’s no secret that they are big-game hunting this offseason. Between Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard, it seems inevitable that they will land some kind of star.

“The team I’m watching is the Miami Heat,” Brian Windhorst said on First Take. “The Heat are ready to go to their next star window. This is what they do. The Heat hunts stars. His time would probably match Jimmy Butler in terms of age. They have tradeable things potentially that the Blazers could want. I’m being a little premature but that’s kind of what I see happening.”

The season is over now and every GM across the league is gearing up for what will be a wild offseason. For Portland, they must take action now and make a move before Lillard makes it for them.
