Shannon Sharpe has always been a massive fan of how LeBron James played, but even he was a picture of frustration on Thursday.
James missed six of his attempted three-pointers in the Los Angeles Lakers 108-103 loss to the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the WCF. And this saw the former NFL star take to Twitter to share his two cents on James’ performance.
“Too many UNNECESSARY 3s by Bron. AD struggling with his shot. Bron needs to get on the block against Green.”

There’s no doubt that Sharpe will be dreading sitting alongside Skip Bayless on Undisputed after this, as there will surely be a James roast campaign in the offing.
On the game front, James did well otherwise with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists. However, the bigger concern will be the form of Anthony Davis, who has blown hot and cold this postseason. After a dominant 40-point performance in Game 1, he could only muster 18 points in the second.
Darvin Ham Hopes LeBron James And The Team Attack From The Paint More
While there is no denying that James has shot well from three-point land previously, with his six missed attempts, not to forget a couple of layups and a dunk, there is always room for awareness in crunch situations.
This prompted head coach Darvin Ham to say that while it was okay to take 3s, it was paramount that the team attacked from the paint.
“He’s a highly capable 3-point shooter, he let it fly,” Ham said, per Yahoo!Sports. “Again, like I always say, love and live in the paint. That allows some of these 3-point attempts to be that much more open and that much more in rhythm.”
The Lakers and James will hope to put up a better show on the offense, especially after their big names went off the boil in Games 1 and 2. They now have a chance to cut the deficit and tie it when they welcome the Nuggets to the Crypto.com Arena next. Hopefully, James manages to connect some of his shots.
