Draymond Green and the Warriors have finally been taken down at full strength and many are seeing it as a sign that times have changed. While we await the crowning of a new NBA champion, one has to wonder what’s next for the Warriors now that their reign has come to an end… at least, for now.
According to Draymond Green, who spoke on his podcast on Saturday, the current Warriors group that we all know and love is not done winning games together. In fact, as he explained to the fans, the same ones calling for the end of the dynasty are the same ones who tried to invalidate their championships from the very beginning.
“A lot of people are saying the Warriors dynasty is over, which are the same people that said it was over in 2019 when KD left. Four years later, they’re still saying it’s over. Great. They’re always wrong. It’s not. Those same people are the same folks that said I’d never make it in the NBA. Those people are the same folks that said ‘they’re a jump shooting team and they won’t win.’ It’s those people. But I also know and pay attention to who the people that are saying the dynasty is over. it’s always people that have never been a part of a dynasty…”

The Dubs have overcome great odds before and they’ve come back to compete for a championship just a year after competing for the draft lottery. Whenever this squad looks down, Curry, Klay, or Draymond will step up to remind the world who they really are.
This year, while it did not result in a title, the Warriors were still able to push the Lakers to 6 games in the playoffs despite having one of the worst road records in the entire league all season long. Now that it’s over, they will be working hard to re-group and get stronger for next season.
What Moves Can We Expect From The Warriors This Summer?
With both Curry and Klay under contract, the Warriors have no incentive to blow it up and start over. Obviously, it would be in their best interest to retain their top players (including Andrew Wiggins) but everyone else is seemingly on the table for this group.
“To be fair I think this team ultimately maxed out,” Kerr said. “We were barely in the playoff picture for most of the year… this is not a championship team.”
GM Bob Myers has some big decisions to make in the coming weeks. He’ll have to figure out who stays and who goes in a summer that could make or break the future for this team.
