DeMar DeRozan could be one of the players to watch out for in the offseason. And if the rumor mills were to be true, he could find a new home in Memphis.

Per All Chgo’s Will Gottlieb, the Grizzles could be one of the teams to benefit from using a veteran like DeRozan, who is still a powerhouse on the offensive end.

“Getting Tyus Jones, one of the Grizzlies’ young players, and/or a pick could be an enticing package to keep the Bulls afloat now while also replenishing their asset base,” he said.

On a side note, he also listed a few more teams that could make a beeline for DeRozan. “The Knicks are always star shopping. Portland could be an option. The Lakers are a natural match but have cap questions to answer themselves. The Bucks if Khris Middleton leaves.”

“Dallas is desperate to add talent around Luka Doncic. The Rockets are ready to climb out of the basement. Orlando could be ready to make a move to step forward. Maybe a reunion in Toronto could be in order.”

Gottlieb’s theory about DeRozan for the Grizzlies makes sense, as the team could use more firepower on the offense, making him the perfect star alongside Ja Morant. But such has been the Bulls’ mainstay’s season that he will be in top demand the minute Chicago put him in the market.

NBA Insider Believes DeMar DeRozan Will Remain With The Bulls For Another Season

Like Damian Lillard with the Portland Trail Blazers, DeRozan’s future with the Bulls has been one of the widely-discussed topics since the start of the season.

Speaking about his future with the Bulls, NBA and Bulls’ insider, Sam Smith said the forward could stay in Chicago for another season.

Well, DeMar has been pretty open that he thought he was going to the Lakers and home as a free agent two years ago, and that’s where he wanted to go,” Smith said. But he’s since said he believes in finishing what he started and has grown to like Chicago and the Bulls.

“Things change depending on, as I’ve said, and we know, how the postseason goes. But with one more year on his contract, I expect DeRozan to be with the Bulls next season. Perhaps not after that.”

DeRozan has also been one of the Bulls’ big stars, and it’s unlikely that the side will be keen to ship him to another team in the offseason. But with another disappointing season, the side will look maybe make some major roster shakeups, and in the NBA, everything’s possible.
