The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 1 of their first-round series. This is a great start to the matchup for them, and they now have negated the Grizzlies’ home-court advantage by winning a game on the road.

In this game, Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura had big-time performances next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Artist Snoop Dogg had a wild take on the Lakers after the game, comparing them to the United Nations.

“United Nations over here. We got Asians, white boys, n-words, boy we cold. The Lakers got a cold squad… Lakers in 6.”

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers roster has a mix of players from different races, backgrounds, and creeds. It is good to see that they have a diverse locker room, and hopefully, they end up getting far in the playoffs.

Many Believe The Los Angeles Lakers Have A Path To The Conference Finals

The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of talent on the roster, and many believe that they can prevail over the Memphis Grizzlies in their first-round series. In fact, this is even more likely due to Ja Morant’s availability being in doubt for Game 2. The Lakers are in an advantageous position right now, and they could make a deep run. In fact, Charles Barkley claimed that they have the easiest path to the Western Conference Finals.

“If you actually look at it now, damn, the Lakers that was the easiest path to the Conference Finals, and you’re gonna see because they’re gonna be in the Conference Finals… I’d rather be in the Play-In and play 1 bad team at home. Ask the Lakers how they feel right now. The Clippers got a tougher road because they have to go through the Suns and Denver.”

There is no doubt that the Lakers have a viable path to the Conference Finals, but as of right now, their focus should still be on the Memphis Grizzlies. Even without Ja Morant, they have elite players such as Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane, both of whom are two-way players that can challenge the Lakers.

With that being said, the Lakers will be confident about their chances, especially without Ja Morant. They must seize the opportunity, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
