It has taken 74 games, but the Los Angeles Lakers are finally at .500 this season after a crucial win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Lakers went up big in the first quarter and then managed to hold off OKC to win 116-111 as they improved to 37-37. Lakers fans were delighted with this win as the team continues to roll.

“WE FINALLY HAVE A .500 RECORD.” a fan celebrated the Lakers finally getting to .500 with a Patrick Beverley gif from the play-in game last year.

“Monster game from AD. Everything coming together at the right time.” a fan hailed Anthony Davis for his big night and thinks the Lakers are putting it all together at the right time.

“I don’t care who you are in the Western Conference if you want to win, just make sure you don’t let us Lakers enter the playoffs.” stated a fan who believes the Lakers will win the West if they make the playoffs.

“We’re gonna be so dangerous in the playoffs.” stated another who believes they will be a very dangerous team in the postseason.

“Nobody wanna see this team healthy.” this fan believes no team in the NBA wants to face a healthy Lakers squad.

Anthony Davis was the star of the show as finished with 37 points while also hauling in 14 rebounds. Dennis Schroder had 21 points and 6 assists while Austin Reaves struggled from the field but managed to put up 11 points and 9 assists. Lonnie Walker IV provided a much-needed spark from the bench as he had 20 points.

For a while, it looked like the Lakers might suffer another brutal defeat but they managed to stave off a comeback attempt by OKC and dealt a big blow to their playoff hopes. With this win, the Lakers are now tied with the seventh-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves and are very much in with a chance at an automatic playoff berth.

Draymond Green Feels The Lakers Are A Serious Threat In The Western Conference

With this win, the Lakers improved to 10-5 post the All-Star break, and the trades made by GM Rob Pelinka before the deadline has transformed this team. They have gone on this run mostly without LeBron James who has missed the last 13 games and once he gets back, they will be quite a formidable unit.

Draymond Green believes they are a serious threat in the West if they make the playoffs and this win greatly increases their chances of making it in. There have been so many points this season when the Lakers seemed dead and buried, but they have managed to somehow stay afloat and look set for some postseason action.
