Navigating with a medical boot isn’t easy, but LeBron James has found a way to get to where he wants around the Crypto.com Arena. The injured Los Angeles Lakers superstar was seen zipping around in a mini-scooter during the team’s clash against the Minnesota Timberwolves, much to the amusement of fans.
The veteran was pictured going around the arena on the scooter with the boot on. It looks like James got creative and ditched the crutches for a more easier and portable way of getting across.

This had fans sharing their thoughts on social media and discussion forums. Please note that the comments have been edited for the purpose of clarification:
“I’m gonna pretend like he’s only using this scooter and boot because he’s just a silly goose,” one of the fans wrote on Reddit.
This was seconded by another who wrote: “Who needs Scoot Henderson when you have Scoot James? One fan expressed optimism. “At least his spirits seem to be good! Let’s hope he has more time to recover and our boys can keep doing their thing and win games!” a fan said. “We aren’t making the playoffs,” a desperate fan wrote.
James’ presence and his antics on the scooter might be one of the things that may have the Lakers fans smiling after the team lost 102-110 to the Timberwolves despite Anthony Davis’ 38-point performance.
After pulling off a stunner against the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this week, a similar outcome was expected against Anthony Edwards and Co., but the team faltered in their quest to rack up as many wins as possible to make the playoffs.
LeBron James To Be Re-Evaluated In Three Weeks
LeBron James has been playing with an ankle issue throughout the season, and he suffered another ankle injury blow against the Dallas Mavericks. Later diagnosed to be a right foot tendon injury, the veteran was ruled out for three weeks. That he escaped surgery comes as good news.
James has been on a tear this season averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists shooting 50.1% from the field and 30.8% from three. His injury blow couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Lakers. However, with Davis playing, LA will look to string up some wins ahead of James’ return, and give the former NBA champion a chance to take his team into the playoffs.
The Lakers play the Golden State Warriors next, followed by a clash against the Memphis Grizzlies.
