The Los Angeles Lakers went all in when they traded for Anthony Davis. The Purple and Gold traded for Davis in hopes of creating a dynamic duo with LeBron James. AD and LeBron’s duo was expected to be the cornerstone players for the new Lakers dynasty and win multiple NBA Championships.
Although the Los Angeles Lakers did win the 2020 NBA Championship with LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the helm, since then, the duo has failed to reach the same level of success.
One of the biggest reasons why the Lakers have struggled to succeed since 2020 is the inability of Anthony Davis due to injuries.
Anthony Davis Gets Roasted By Reggie Miller
The Los Angeles Lakers recently faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks in their most recent matchup. As expected, the Bucks easily got the victory. With LeBron James sitting out from the game, Anthony Davis was expected to lead the Lakers to victory.
Unfortunately, not only Davis failed to fulfill that expectation, but during the fourth quarter, he gave an injury scare to the Lakers fans. Reggie Miller, who was the on-air commentator at the time, turned it into a hilarious situation with an epic joke.

“Anytime Anthony Davis grimaces, it’s 3 weeks.”
Miller joked about Davis’ tendency to get injured even after the slightest inconvenience. AD’s inability to stay healthy is a running joke among the media and fans. But are they really in the wrong to make fun of Davis?
After all, he joined the Lakers back in the 2019-20 NBA season, and in his first three seasons, Davis played just 138 games out of a possible 246. His average of 24.1 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 3.1 APG are certainly good, but the number of games he played is simply too low.
Speaking of the 2022-23 NBA season, so far, the 1x NBA champion has featured in 32 games and is currently averaging 26.6 PPG, 12.0 RPG, and 2.5 APG. Once again, had he stayed healthy throughout the season and averaged similar numbers, he would have helped the Lakers win many more games.
