Generally, we see the Phoenix Suns in the news due to their performances on the court. After all, they are one of the best teams in the NBA currently and have a very talented squad.

However, the most recent attention on the Phoenix Suns was due to governor Robert Sarver. It was recently reported that he’d be suspended for a year and fined $10 million for his workplace conduct, which included him using racial slurs and making inappropriate comments toward women.

Chris Paul Finds Robert Sarver’s Behaviour Absolutely Horrific

Chris Paul is generally considered one of the faces of the Phoenix Suns franchise currently. He is well-known for being an experienced pass-first point guard that also thrives when scoring from the midrange area.

Recently, Chris Paul broke his silence on the situation with Robert Sarver, claiming that he was “horrified and disappointed” at the governor’s actions. He also noted that “the sanctions fell short” in terms of punishment for Sarver’s “atrocious behavior”.

I am of the view that the sanctions fell short in truly addressing what we can all agree was atrocious behavior. My heart goes out to all of the people that were affected.

Like many others, I reviewed the report. I was and am horrified and disappointed by what I read. This conduct especially towards women is unacceptable and must never be repeated.

I am of the view that the sanctions fell short in truly addressing what we can all agree was atrocious behavior. My heart goes out to all of the people that were affected.

It is clear that Chris Paul is not happy about the league’s handling of the situation. Similar sentiments were expressed by superstar LeBron James earlier, with him claiming that the league got things “wrong”.

Read through the Sarver stories a few times now. I gotta be honest…Our league definitely got this wrong. I don’t need to explain why. Y’all read the stories and decide for yourself. I said it before and I’m gonna say it again, there is no place in this league for that kind of behavior. I love this league and I deeply respect our leadership. But this isn’t right. There is no place for misogyny, sexism, and racism in any work place. Don’t matter if you own the team or play for the team. We hold our league up as an example of our values and this aint it.

It is clear that a good number of players aren’t happy with the relatively light punishment that Robert Sarver received. Perhaps we will see more of them speak on this issue in the future.

Hopefully, we see the league take stronger action on such issues going forward. It is clear that Robert Sarver’s actions were unprofessional and inappropriate, and one can only hope that he won’t repeat the things that he did and takes accountability.
