Draymond Green Got Annoyed When A Reporter Asked Him If His Podcasts Gave Away Their Game Plan To The Celtics

Draymond Green was certainly not a happy camper after the Boston Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. It had seemed like the Warriors might take control of the game after another one of their outstanding third-quarter performances, but the Celtics dominated in the fourth quarter to come away with a 116-100 win.

Draymond fouled out in the fourth while the Celtics were rolling and he commented after the game that he played like s**t. It certainly was a poor showing from Green and while he kept his cool during the post-game presser, he did get visibly annoyed when a reporter asked if his podcasts were giving away the Warriors game plan to the Celtics.

“No. I don’t say much different on the podcast than I say to you right here, so nah. What’s the X’s and O’s that I said on the Podcast?”

When the reporter suggested that it had to do with how they defend Derrick White, Al Horford, and Marcus Smart, Green scoffed at the notion.

“That’s just contesting shots. If that’s X’s and O’s, you’re reaching for something. It’s all good, though, keep going. You’re reaching heavy”

While Draymond does break down the games during his podcast, none of it is really in depth enough for it to actually benefit the opposition. Draymond is smart enough to not say something that would put the Warriors in a disadvantageous position and he probably felt that the reporter was questioning his intelligence by suggesting that he would give up their game plan over there.

One NBA reporter had some fun at Draymond’s expense after these comments, however, as Rob Perez asked where was this defense during the game.

The Warriors and Draymond himself would expect a better showing on the defensive end after the Celtics torched them at various points during the game. Green needs to stamp his authority on the defensive end as he did in Game 2 if the Warriors are to win another title with this core.

To win their 4th title together, you’d say Game 4 almost becomes a must-win at this point as coming back from 3-1 down against this Celtics team is looking tougher day by day.
