Colby Covington Once Again Takes A Shot At LeBron James: “You’re Putting Targets On Police Officers’ Backs, But Then You’re Using Police Security For Your Family.

LeBron James is one of the biggest names in the NBA. In fact, James’ popularity surpasses that of the world of basketball. However, being this popular is a double-edged sword for the King.

On one hand, he receives a lot of love from fans, on the other, he is an easy target for people who try to bring him down. One such person is the MMA fighter, Colby Covington.

The UFC star has tried to get into it with James on numerous occasions over the last few years. He first did so back in 2020, when the NBA postponed the season due to the ongoing pandemic. He called out James and several other NBA players on Twitter.

Covington also said that he believes James used his I Promise schools as a tax write-off. If these comments aren’t enough to prove that he really hates James for some reason, Colby also challenged LeBron to a fight, back in 2020.

Regardless of what the UFC star has said over the last few years, James has hardly paid attention to it. It seems like Colby is yet to stop as he has once again decided to take a dig at the Los Angeles Lakers superstar in a recent podcast.

“That’s why I laugh at LeBron James. Dude – you’re talking s**t. You’re putting targets on police officers’ backs, but then you’re using police security for your family.”

This time around, Colby has claimed that LeBron tends to put a target on police officers’ backs. But when he needs security for his family, then he relies on the same police officers.

Once again, this seems like an effort to get a comment out of LeBron. After all, getting into a beef with one of the most famous athletes in the world will help Covington get some fame as well.
