Bill Simmons On LeBron James Winning In The Bubble: “He Can Smell It Now Once The Clippers Is Out. 4th Ring Would Put Him In A Different Place, At His Age Is Unprecedented, One More Than Bird, And With 3 Different Franchises.”

The general thought around the league is that LeBron James is en route to winning his fourth NBA championship now that the Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated from the competition by the Denver Nuggets. The Clips were seen as the only capable of beating the Lakers but now that possibility is off the table.

LeBron and the Lakers are up 2-1 in the Western Conference Finals, but the Denver Nuggets are still a dangerous team. They need to figure things out since the Nuggets could be the ones leading the series now if it wasn’t for Anthony Davis’ game-winning 3-pointer in Game 2. Still, people believe the Lakers won’t have major problems winning the ‘ship this year, taking LeBron to the next level.

Bill Simmons of The Ringer has explained how a fourth title would elevate LeBron to the next level, given his age and the fact that he’d win it with a third NBA franchise.

“People say who is the best player in the bubble. It’s been LeBron, why are we arguing about this? He has adjusted his game in a way for the last 7 years that was just unbelievable, it’s devastating. He can smell it now, once the Clippers it out. 4th ring put him in a different place at his age is unprecedented, more than Bird, and with 3 different franchises.”

LeBron has done very impressive things during his career and he doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. He has everything to become a 4x NBA champion this season and get closer to Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. However, he first needs to get past the Nuggets; after that, he will have to face either the Heat or the Celtics and not so many people think any of these two teams can be a problem for the purple and gold.
