Bradley Beal On Russell Westbrook: “He Is Probably The Best Teammate I’ve Ever Had…”

2 Min Read

The Washington Wizards still have a lot of work to do if they want to make a long and successful playoff run in the East this year.

Still, there is a certain air about the Wizards that has people feeling optimistic about their future. Call it a fluke, luck, or whatever, but there is no doubt that the best is yet to come.

For Bradley Beal, a big part of their formula so far has been Russell Westbrook, who Beal went so far as to call his greatest teammate ever.

“He is the best teammate probably I’ve ever had… everybody had their opinions of Russ coming into the year, if he’s a good teammate, bad teammate, whatever. He’s been nothing but awesome for us.”

Love him or hate him, Russ has always been hailed as a great leader and teammate. He inspires with his actions just as much as his words, and it trickles down to the rest of the team.

In D.C., he has done an amazing job rallying his teammates, even despite their slow start. Averaging 20.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game on 42.8% shooting, The Wizards, who started with one of the worst records in the NBA, are now 14-20, just two games back from the 8th seed.
