The 2010s might have been the decade of the Golden State Warriors, but before the superteam of Oakland/San Francisco prevailed in the NBA, it was the Miami Heat who were the original Big 3 and one of the most feared teams in the league.
With the star trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh leading the team, the Heatles were incredible in their four-year stretch as a team.
Reaching the NBA Finals for all four seasons, Miami won two titles in a row. While the 2012 Final was rather a breeze, the 2013 Final against the San Antonio Spurs went all the way to Game 7. But the Heat could have just lost the Finals in Game 6 itself.
While Miami was down by 3 points, it was Ray Allen’s iconic game-tying shot that really changed the course of the Finals. Recently, former Power Forward and Hall of Famer Chris Bosh had a hilarious way to describe the game-winner.
In a recent tweet, Bosh tweeted out a bunch of emojis. While initially these emojis rather seemed silly, Bosh later explained how each emoji described each word of Mike Breen’s iconic lines

This was certainly one of the most influential moments in the Heat franchise. If not for the rebound by Bosh and the clutch three-pointer by Allen, the Heat would have lost Game 6 and ultimately would have been deemed a failed superteam attempt.
Bosh always was the one who sacrificed in terms of scoring and in setting up the team. While the forward could have flourished as a superstar elsewhere, Bosh sensed that Miami was his ticket to trophies.
With two championships in four years, it’s safe to say that the move worked out for Bosh as well. Not only that, the Heat set the blueprint for the new super-teams. It’s a shame that we only saw 4 years of the Miami Heat Big Three but what a run it was.
