Clippers Players Talk About LeBron James Breaking All-Time Scoring Record: “This Building Is Legendary”

Terance Mann and Jason Preston were spotted discussing how amazing it was that LeBron James broke the all-time scoring record in the same building where they play.

LeBron James made history earlier in the week, finally crossing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record for most points scored by an individual player in their NBA career. The historic moment took place in the Crypto.com Arena, known by most by its legendary old name, the Staples Center.

The Los Angeles Lakers are the most decorated franchise in the NBA since the 1980s, no team can boast of as many titles as they’ve accumulated since that time. And they have seen legendary names like Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James don the Purple and Gold in that time. The history of that building is arguably unmatched.

There is another team that uses the same stadium, and that’s the Los Angeles Clippers. Contrary to the Lakers, the Clippers have never experienced that much team success, they haven’t even been to the NBA Finals yet. The teams have been quite good in recent seasons, but for now, Clippers players can only marvel at the accomplishments of what the Lakers’ stars have done in that building. And that’s exactly what happened after LeBron James broke the all-time scoring record.

Terance Mann: “LeBron James scored his 38,000-whatever in here last night.”

Jason Preston: “Yeah.”

Terance Mann: “That’s crazy. Right over there. Aye, this building is like legendary bro.”

Terance Mann is not wrong, the building itself has seen endless championships and records broken. Even Abdul-Jabbar broke the record as a Laker, although he did it in a road game. And while Terance Mann is right, it also allowed Lakers fans to troll their rivals.

Lakers Fans Took Shots At The Clippers After Video Of Terance Mann Appreciating LeBron James Went Viral

Considering how much more successful the Lakers are, one would think their fans wouldn’t punch down on Clippers fans. But Lakers supporters never miss a chance to assert the supremacy of their team.

“It sure is legendary, and not one reason is remotely associated with the Clippers.”

“Yeah, legendary for the Lakers.”

“What do Clips know about legendary?”

“Filled with Legendary Laker moments. Not 1 Clipper moment is legendary lol.”

“Legendary n nothing to do with the team u play for.”

“This is why the Clippers need to pack up.”

“Yeah, so why are the Clippers even allowed in?”

“He’s right but the Clippers still suck.”

“The Clippers only have legendary disappointments.”

“I can’t bro, get the Clippers out of there.”

The rivalry between the two franchises is quite one-sided at this point, there is no denying that the Lakers are more legendary. Both franchises have ambitions moving forward now, though, and have made moves at the trade deadline to make some noise in the Western Conference. Maybe we’ll finally get to see the Battle for LA in the playoffs this season, should both teams make it in.
