In a post-game Instagram message, Green defiantly responded to those who continued to advise him to curb his intensity and avoid technical fouls. The veteran forward, now in his 12th NBA season, expressed frustration at the persistent coaching advice, stating:

“I’m in year 12 and y’all still telling me to stop being Draymond. Don’t get a tech… blah blah blah. 12 years later and y’all still trying to coach me on how to be ME? I am better at being Draymond than ANYBODY!!”

Green went on to challenge those offering advice, suggesting that if people focused on improving their own lives, the world would be a better place. In his characteristic style, he emphasized the absurdity of others telling him how to do his job, comparing it to him offering unsolicited advice on their professions.

This post-game outburst reflects Green’s unwavering commitment to staying true to himself and maintaining the competitive edge that has defined his illustrious career.

Steve Kerr Was Shocked At Draymond Green’s Ejection

Steve Kerr, a seasoned figure in the NBA with a career spanning back to 1988, expressed his bewilderment at the “bizarre” ejection of Draymond Green during the Warriors’ clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Green’s ejection occurred under unusual circumstances, as he received a second technical foul after a prolonged review of an earlier incident involving Donovan Mitchell.

Kerr, in his post-game comments, admitted that he had never encountered such a rule where a technical foul could be retroactively assigned based on a previous play. The veteran coach refrained from openly criticizing the officials, stating:

“I had no idea. There are lots of plays I would like to go back to from three years ago. I don’t know, that was bizarre.”

"I had never heard of this rule."

As both Kerr and Green navigate the peculiarities of this ejection, it adds another chapter to the ongoing discussions around officiating in the NBA, a topic that has recently garnered attention from various teams and coaches.

Stephen Curry Needs Help

Stephen Curry, despite his exceptional performances, finds himself in a situation where he is carrying a significant scoring burden for the Golden State Warriors. In recent games, Curry has consistently emerged as the team’s top scorer, showcasing his offensive prowess and leadership on the court. However, the lack of substantial scoring contributions from other key players is a cause for concern.

Looking beyond Curry’s stellar individual efforts, the Warriors are struggling to find a secondary scoring option. Dario Saric, not typically the primary offensive threat, emerged as the second-highest scorer in recent games with 20 points. This imbalance underscores the team’s dependence on Curry to carry the bulk of the scoring load.

With notable talents like Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green in the lineup, there is a collective responsibility for the Warriors to provide offensive support. To maximize their potential, the team needs to find ways to distribute the scoring responsibilities more evenly, ensuring that Stephen Curry receives the necessary help to propel the Warriors to success. The quest for a more balanced offensive output becomes crucial as the Warriors aim for sustained competitiveness throughout the season.
