Most people know that LeBron James went through some struggles as a child and that his mother worked quite hard to raise him as a single mother. LeBron made the sacrifices she made worth it, becoming arguably the greatest basketball player of all time and one of the richest people in the world.

James has been a superstar since he entered the league as a No. 1 pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he has made a lot of money through the NBA and the multiple business ventures he has a hand in off the court, James has not forgotten his roots. He showed it again with a classy gift for his mother, Gloria James, who turns 54 years of age on February 4th.

LeBron bought his mother a Mercedes G Wagon SUV as an early birthday present, sharing a heartfelt message on his Instagram story to go along with his lovely and thoughtful gift.

“I am who I am because of your sacrifices! You mean beyond the world to me!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Happy early BDay mama.”

Gloria herself made a post on Instagram about it, thanking her superstar son and professing her love for LeBron.

“Thank you my caring and giving son, @kingjames, for my early surprise birthday gift! You’re always thinking of and doing things to help make my life easier and make me happy. Love you infinity.”

LeBron is a family man through and through and despite his great success, has always been known to take care of his family the best he can. His life on the NBA court isn’t going as well though, with the Lakers still firmly stuck with a .500 record at 23-23. James has been playing like an MVP this season but if the rest of the roster doesn’t step up soon, they can forget about any potential gifts coming their way from the King!
