The Miami Heat are staring at the possibility of losing the NBA Finals after losing Game 4 last night. The Heat are now 3-1 down against the Denver Nuggets and will lose the NBA championship the moment they lose their next game. But Erik Spoelstra is motivated ahead of Game 5 on Monday.

Erik Spoelstra spoke after Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Spoelstra noted that he and the Heat will not sleep tonight before they begin preparing for Game 5 and trying to secure a win in Denver and keep the series going.

“I told the guys you probably shouldn’t sleep any amount of time tonight. I don’t think anyone will. We’ve done everything the hard way… All we’re going to focus on is getting this thing back to the 305.”

Erik Spoelstra and the Heat weren’t able to secure a single win at home during Games 3 and 4. But the Heat have shown that they are capable of winning a game in Denver, winning Game 2. The Heat will have to do just that in Game 5 to keep the NBA Finals going to give themselves any chance of winning the NBA championship.

The Miami Heat Could Do The Unthinkable

Erik Spoelstra is far from the only one who thinks the Miami Heat can pull it back. Jimmy Butler spoke after the game and noted that he and the Heat will try to bring themselves back in these NBA Finals. Any chance of a comeback lives and dies by Game 5, which is now a must-win for the Heat.

Jimmy Butler played pretty well, scoring 25 points for the Heat. But Gabe Vincent and Calber Martin played particularly poorly, scoring just 2 points between both. For the Heat, it isn’t just Jimmy Butler who needs to play well, but the entire team.
