Forward Draymond Green is often called the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors, and he is the team’s anchor both on defense and in the mental aspect of the game. His confidence is part of the team’s identity, and there’s no doubt that they play better with a fired-up Draymond Green.

There is no doubt that Draymond Green’s stomp on Domantas Sabonis in Game 2 has been a huge topic of discussion in the NBA world. In the aftermath of the game, former Kings guard Mike Bibby called out Draymond Green for being scared.

“He looks like he has the most confidence in the world, but I think he’s scared,” Bibby said.

There is no doubt that this is a hot take from Mike Bibby, and knowing Draymond Green, the forward is rarely afraid of anything. We have seen him talk trash to anyone and everyone, and it is fair to say that Green is willing to take on any challenge.

In the series against the Sacramento Kings, Draymond Green has averaged 6.0 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 8.0 APG for the Golden State Warriors. His defense has been crucial for them thus far. However, the Warriors will need to find a way to win without Green, as he has been suspended for Game 3 against the Kings.

Draymond Green Was Suspended By The League Due To Him Being A Repeat Offender

There is no doubt that a lot of people were surprised that the league decided to suspend Draymond Green. Executive Vice President Joe Dumars explained that the suspension was due to his actions being “excessive and over-the-top,” noting that Draymond Green’s status as a “repeat offender” played a role as well.

“Here’s what it came down to: excessive and over-the-top actions, conduct detrimental and a repeat offender,” Joe Dumars said. “That’s what separates this where you end up with a suspension.”

Though a lot of people may not agree with this suspension, it is clear that Draymond Green’s conduct was unacceptable. Hopefully, he will avoid actions of this kind in the future.

It will be interesting to see whether the Golden State Warriors will be able to get a victory against the Kings in their next two games. They have looked outmatched thus far, but one should never underestimate the reigning champions.
