Giannis Antetokounmpo On Milwaukee Bucks Recruiting: “They’ve Done An Unbelievable Job In The Last Two Years.”

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has recently signed a contract extension keeping him in Milwaukee. While most Milwaukee faithful never wavered on thinking that the Greek star would re-sign with them there were doubts. Some speculated that the fact that the Bucks haven’t made the Finals would be a factor in Antetokounmpo’s decision.

Despite the speculation, the Milwaukee Bucks have actually made moves to win. While letting go of Malcolm Brogdon may have been foolish, the trade for Jrue Holiday wasn’t. Jrue Holiday is better than Eric Bledsoe or Malcolm Brogdon, receiving praise from elite players like Kevin Durant and Damian Lillard. Holiday is also a really good player in the clutch, although many didn’t notice since he was on a middle of the pack team like the Pelicans. According to Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Giannis Antetokounmpo approves of the front office’s moves for the roster.

Asked about recruiting, Antetokounmpo said it isn't something he is particularly interested in doing. Knows it is the front office's job to handle and they'll keep doing the job.

There were reports that Giannis Antetokounmpo wanted the Bucks to target stars like Bradley Beal this offseason. Despite the fact that the management deviated from his request, Giannis Antetokounmpo still seems happy with the state of the team. Antetokounmpo is officially a small-market hero: he doesn’t feel the pull of Los Angeles or care about the beaches of Miami. Antetokounmpo is happy in Milwaukee, and you can count on him to put his city on the map in the future.
