Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Girlfriend Says She Was A Lakers Fan Growing Up

2 Min Read

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s girlfriend, Mariah Danae Riddlesprigger, made a bold revelation in recent hours, shocking the Milwaukee Bucks star and plenty of fans around the league. Antetokounmpo likes to go live on Instagram and that’s been more recurrent after the NBA suspended the current season.

Giannis has been able to spend a lot of time with his family, including his baby, Liam Charles, but that hasn’t prevented him from being involved in NBA rumors. Now his girlfriend has stirred the pot when she revealed she was a Lakers fan growing up.

When asked what was her favorite team aside from the Milwaukee Bucks, she revealed:

“I was a Lakers fan growing up.”

Giannis couldn’t believe her response as he was shocked. Riddlesprigger clarified she said ‘growing up’, but that was just too much for the current NBA MVP.

This is a curious situation as Giannis has been linked with the Lakers on several occasions. He can become a free agent next season and plenty of franchises would be happy to have him on the roster, including the Californians.

However, that doesn’t seem like a real possibility for the Greek Freak right now. Maybe in the future, we’ll see Antetokounmpo defending the Purple and Gold, more knowing that his girl was a fan of the team when she was younger.
