John Stockton Supports Kyrie Irving For Not Taking The COVID-19 Vaccine: “I Have Such Great Respect For Him Stepping Up Like That.”

Kyrie Irving’s refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine has earned him a lot of criticism, while the Brooklyn Nets didn’t allow him to be a part-time player. The 2016 NBA champion is firm in his position, and a recent report suggests he could get vaxxed if a plant-based vaccine is developed.

Meanwhile, people within and outside the NBA world have shown support to the All-Star point guard, including Chris Brown and Floyd Mayweather. Now, a fellow point guard has shown his support to the Brooklyn Nets star.

Utah Jazz legend John Stockton, an anti-vaxxer himself, sent a big message to Kyrie, stating he has a lot of people who back him.

Via NY Daily News:

“You have a lot of supporters Kyrie,” Stockton told fellow vaccine skeptic podcast hosts Chad Fisher and Tony Farmer. “Not all them of can get to you, and you can’t get to all of them, but there’s every bit a majority out there that’s sitting there pulling for you. They’re just not quite as bold as he is. I’m proud of him as an individual to take that kind of individual risk and be that bold for what you feel is right.”

“I have such great respect for Kyrie Irving for stepping up like that,” Stockton said. “He’s right in the mix of it, he has a tremendous amount to lose in endorsements. So I salute him.”

Stockton also took the chance to blast the companies that created the vaccines, naming their history as the main reason why he doesn’t trust his health to these people.

“It’s amazing the protection they have, and even with that, they are serial felons,” Stockton said of the vaccine manufacturers. “Almost each one across the board, they’ve been convicted and paid astronomical sums for the frauds they’ve committed and yet it doesn’t seem like it’s known.”

Just like Stockton and Irving, plenty of people don’t trust vaccines. They have several reasons to think that way, and most of the time, that mindset creates trouble for them. Kyrie remains inactive due to his refusal to take the vaccine, and the Nets remain open to trading him.

If he doesn’t change his mind, or the plant-based vaccine doesn’t get approved before the end of the season, Kyrie will sit out for this entire campaign, where the Nets looked like title contenders.
