Kendrick Perkins Urges The Portland Trail Blazers To Fire Their Head Coach, Terry Stotts

Despite being hailed for their roster additions in the offseason, the Portland Trail Blazers haven’t started the season as well as fans had hoped.

After Tuesday night’s collapse against the Chicago Bulls, they stand just 3-4 on the season.

No doubt, the team has some issues they will have to work out if they want to turn things around and, according to Kendrick Perkins, it should start with a coaching change.

“Terry Stotts needs to be on the HOT SEAT this season…he’s had too many opportunities!!! Carry on,” Perkins tweeted.

Stotts has long been criticized by fans for his poor rotations and defensive schemes. The Blazers, despite being improved defensively on paper, are currently ranked 29th in defensive rating, perhaps indicating a coaching problem for the club.

Of course, Stotts has also been at the helm for several inspiring efforts, including last season’s bubble games, and their 2019 run to the Western Conference Finals.

Unfortunately, with Dame turning 31 in the summer, there isn’t a whole lot of time left for Portland to figure things out. If they want to maximize his time with their club, and bring home a title, they will need to act soon.

The question is, would firing Stotts deliver the proper results?
