Klay Thompson Says He Loves Playing With Steph, Wants To Retire As A Warrior After Another 10 Years

Klay Thompson is nothing but happy with the Golden State Warriors and he plans to continue with the team for at least 10 more years. That’s according to his father, Mychal Thompson, who revealed the desires of Klay regarding the Dubs and his partnership with the 2x NBA MVP, Stephen Curry.

Mychal joined Dell and Sonya Curry’s podcast ‘Raising Fame‘ and he made interesting statements regarding his son and his future in basketball. Klay is currently sidelined and he won’t return this season, but his father is confident he will come back to lead the Warriors to the glory once again.

“Klay loves playing with Steph, he respects him so much,” Mychal said. “He talks about him all the time and how hard he works, how dedicated he is to the game and to his family. He has said it to me in private that he loves playing with Steph and he wants to retire as a Warrior after another 10 years.

“He wants to go into the Hall of Fame along with Steph. That’s how close he feels to him and how honored he is to play with him. They have formed a special bond. That’s why I told him, I said, ‘Even though you’re going to probably miss this year, you and Steph will still have eight years together as long as you take care of your bodies.'”

Even though this season has been very hard on the Warriors, they are confident they can return to the top once Steph and Klay are back together on the court. After the failed experiment of D’Angelo Russell in the Bay, rumors are suggesting Golden State will try to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo, the current MVP of the league.

If this happens, Thompson and Curry will have an even better chance to reclaim their throne as the rulers of the NBA. They have won three titles together and it doesn’t seem like they’re planning to stop.
