NBA stars are elite athletes, the best in the world at what they do, which means that they are paid ridiculous amounts of money, vastly more than people in many other situations. Fans sometimes think that this prevents those players from having the same problems as normal people do but that’s not always the case, as proved by the recent news regarding Knicks player Mitchell Robinson.

While the NBA world was enamored with All-Star Weekend and all the glamor that came with it, Robinson had something very different to deal with. His father, Mitchell Robinson Jr. has been missing since February 11th, 2022, something Robinson shared on his Snapchat in the screenshot of a report from the Escambia County Sherriff’s Office in Florida.

There is a helpline number that Robinson has shared for information on his father’s whereabouts, and it’s something that will be worrying the Knicks star quite a lot. Robinson posted on his Instagram story as well, pleading with his father to come home.

Police did not have any information on his whereabouts or any clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. Robinson’s father is 39 and what he was doing at the time of his disappearance is also something that is unknown.

Robinson is just 23 years of age and was drafted in 2018 by the New York Knicks. He is originally from Florida, where his father has gone missing, meaning that his father was likely known around the area as well.

Situations like this are scary and provide perspective on how difficult life remains for people like professional athletes who are often millionaires. There is not much that money can do for a person when something of this sort occurs and the hope is that Robinson’s father will return safe and sound as soon as possible.
