Scottie Pippen is making a lot of noise recently thanks to his questionable comments on Michael Jordan and the time he spent with the widely-considered greatest player of all time.
After his book came out earlier this week, people learned more details about Pippen’s relationship with MJ and how he really felt about his former teammate. One of the more serious things he said about Jordan was that he ruined the game of basketball because he didn’t like to pass or rebound. Instead, he just wanted to have everything done for him to score and win games.
“I may go as far to say Mike ruined basketball,” Pippen wrote. “In the 80s on the playgrounds you’d have everyone moving the ball around — passing to help the team. That stopped in the 90s. Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass — didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him. That’s why I always believed LeBron James was the greatest player this game has ever seen — he does everything and embodies what the game is truly about.”
These remarks didn’t sit well with NBA fans, and even players showed their unhappiness with Pippen’s words. One of those was Washington Wizards’ Kyle Kuzma, who took to Instagram to show his disapproval of Scottie’s statements, calling out the 6x NBA champion.
“This energy not it for the sport!” Kuzma wrote on an Instagram story.

Just like Kyle, several people around the league aren’t pleased with the way Pippen is talking about Jordan. They lived great things together, surpassed big obstacles fighting side by side and it’s sad to see that this is how Scottie felt during all these years.
Still, others say he’s just doing this to earn money and get more sales. Well, it looks like it’s working. Pippen is the talk of the town and that won’t change anytime soon. As we learn more details from his time with the Bulls and how he really fell compete with MJ, the news will keep coming.
