As the 2023 NBA free agency approaches, more rumors keep coming about the hottest free agents. Kyrie Irving is one of them, but the Dallas Mavericks point guard appears to be done with all the talking.

During an Instagram Live session today, Kyrie discussed a series of topics, including his future in the league. The 2016 NBA champion urged his fans to not believe in anything he or the people close to him say about his free agency decision.

“I’m a free agent this summer, but I am in no rush to make a decision… When [these media personalities] speak on my name and they’re talking about potential teams that I’m going to, can y’all please — I respectfully, I’m asking you — stop paying attention to that.”

Kyrie is already done with all the noise as he prepares to probably make a tour, meet with teams’ representatives and study his options before making a final decision. Even though he’s been criticized a lot for his behavior off the court in the past two seasons or so, Irving remains a hot player around the league.

He made it clear that people have told false stories about him, and he’s ready to speak the truth.

His first season with the Dallas Mavericks didn’t go as expected (he only spent a couple of months there), but the team believes they can run it back and compete for a title with Kyrie. However, they aren’t the only ones interested in acquiring his services, and the player is using that in his favor

Kyrie Irving Remains A Top Target For The Los Angeles Lakers

For instance, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked with a move for Kyrie since last year. The Brooklyn Nets didn’t want to send him to Los Angeles before the Dallas Mavericks completed their trade, but now that Irving is free to go wherever he wants, the possibility of joining the Lakers is once again circling

Then again, as Kyrie said, he’ll have the last word on this, and until something official happens, whatever we see or say is pure speculation.
