LeBron James Face Times His Mom After Winning Fourth Ring: “Everything That You Had Been Through, Everything That I Had Seen, There’s Nothing That Can Stop Me. I Hope I Continue To Make You Proud, Mom.”

1 Min Read

LeBron James has made it clear from the very beginning that if not for the love, care, and motivation he received from his mother, Gloria James, he may not be the player we’ve come to know him as today.

So in the immediate aftermath of raising his fourth Finals MVP trophy, it was no surprise to see James call her — the woman who made it all possible.

LeBron grew up as a poor kid in Akron, Ohio with nothing but basketball and family to get him through. And while the road to success wasn’t easy for The King, he has blazed himself a career that may be the greatest basketball has ever seen.

At 35-years-old, there’s no telling what lies ahead for Bron or how close he is to the end. Regardless, it’s nice to see that he is taking the time to appreciate the people who have been there for him all his life. It’s nice to see he hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
