LeBron James led the Lakers to a decisive victory on Sunday, dropping a 30-point triple-double against the Orlando Magic.

Along the way, he also had a little bit of fun.

Early in the third quarter, James tried on the goggles of Wendell Carter Jr. after they came flying off during a play involving Dwight Howard.

The innocent and hilarious moment went viral on social media, where the fans and media gathered to share a laugh.

Eventually, LeBron himself even posted about it, sharing the following video and caption on Instagram:

What the heck is wrong with me!?!?!?! ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️. Out there just having a good time while doing what I love to do! .

Unsurprisingly, many other players and celebrities flooded the comments to share their own thoughts about the King’s antics:

All-in-all it was a fun and entertaining moment for LeBron in what has otherwise been a rough season.

After their first-round elimination in 2021,  the Lakers went out and made a series of moves to put them back on the top. Unfortunately, things haven’t panned out like the team hoped and James finds himself struggling to keep the Lakers afloat in the brutal Western Conference.

Still, not all faith is lost. There is still some belief that, with time, 17x Champs can get healthy, get their act together, and make a deep run when it matters most.

No doubt, James has a critical role to play in it all. Even at 36 years old, he is the Lakers’ best player and they need him at his best if they want any shot of turning things around.

His triple-double on Sunday was a great sign of things to come. But his “goggle debacle” might be even more encouraging, as it suggests morale is still high for the King and his struggling squad.
